FALLAS

Yesterday was such a long day in Valencia. As every year, I went with some friends to watch the famous "Fallas" and the "Mascletà".  I'm actually not very enthusiastic of this festival because I'm a bit scared of the firecrackers (specifically if some joker boy throws the bangers so they explode near your feet), but the beautiful fallas and the illumination of the streets made the city very nice and we enjoyed a lot!
Although It was so exhausting walking around Valencia the hole day, I decided to stay until the "Nit del foc" took place at 1.30am because I had never watched it. And sincerely, It really was worth. Not for the fireworks (they were nice, but I told you I'm not very fan of them) but for the company: we were a group of 20 people approx. and we fooled around the streets all the way long until we arrived at the Turia river, where the fireworks took place. I had a very good time despite of my tiredness.

The winner: Falla  378 PEDI. Jorge Comin-Sierra Calderona

  1. Sure it was a wonderful day!
I'm glad we had the chance to know more the people.
Here I leave a poem I've just read, it's funny!

Be Glad Your Nose is on Your Face by Jack Prelutsky

Be glad your nose is on your face,
not pasted on some other place,
for if it were where it is not,
you might dislike your nose a lot.

    Imagine if your precious nose
were sandwiched in between your toes,
that clearly would not be a treat,
for you'd be forced to smell your feet.

Your nose would be a source of dread
were it attached atop your head,
it soon would drive you to despair,
    forever tickled by your hair.

Within your ear, your nose would be
    an absolute catastrophe,
for when you were obliged to sneeze,
your brain would rattle from the breeze.

Your nose, instead, through thick and thin,
remains between your eyes and chin,
not pasted on some other place--
be glad your nose is on your face!
